Sea Experience Trips

Not a formal course at all, our trips away on cruising yachts are designed to be an enjoyable, sociable introduction to cruising for the beginner and a way of practising those classroom skills for the more experienced. Held usually two or three times a year, these cruises (weekends or longer) take place either in the Solent or the South West.

Skippered by the course tutors or experienced members of the group, you will join your yacht on the Friday and spend two nights on board, visiting a number of anchorages during the trip. Evening meals are taken ashore, breakfast and lunch on board.

These trips are an ideal time to sort out any difficulties with your boat handling skills, but without any pressure. You don't get a practical certificate, but you do get some valuable sea experience that can be added to the total in your log book.

Around £150 for the yacht charter, plus food and travel.
